Expo Latino, Western Canada’s Largest Latin Festival, is a 3-day-weekend-event that takes place every August at the Prince’s Island Park in Calgary, Alberta.

The organizers of the festival, The Hispanic Arts Society (HAS), contacted me to create a 3D model of the festival venue with the complete tent, food truck, bathroom, beer garden, and basic stage set-up.

The 3D model is being used internally by the organization to visualize the layout for upcoming editions of the festival.

I created the 3D model of the festival set-up with accurate scaling by using measurements provided to me by the Hispanic Arts Society. For this project, it was important to use life-sized elements to ensure that the layout optimizes the available space in the park.

I referenced Google Earth images to create the model and visualize a realistic aerial shot of the festival set-up.

This 3D model includes some of the new features that the Hispanic Arts Society is hoping to implement for future editions of the festival. Some of these features are LED video screens, line array speakers, a VIP beer garden (fenced section with orange umbrellas), and new tents.

The food trucks and portable toilets were provided to me by HAS, who had the models from previous maps.
